1963 4000 hydrolics

63 4000 diesel

When I 1st crank it up it takes 3-5 minutes before the 3 point hitch will lift. And when it does start working it only starts lifting about the last 1/4 of the lever all the way up, and when I start letting it down it is all the way down within a 1/4 from the top. So 3/4s of my lift lever is basically not used. Is any of this normal? :?:

The "taking 3-5 minutes before it will lift" issue sounds like it is losing prime when it sits but regains it after running for a while.

The movement of the arms only moving during the movement of the control handle at the top 1/4 of its range of movement sounds like a worn cam follower pin needs to be replaced and then the control linkage should be adjusted afterwards.
