JMOR, Test results from Gen, wire to VR A & F disconnected Made jumper gen A to F and jump to Neg. battery post belt off motor test ok
volt 6.21 battery volt nothing hooked up 6.28 battery on running at idle volt 6.16 hook up jumper volt 5.78 speed up volt 5.75
1 min running volt 5.76, 2 min 5.77, 3 min 5.76, Jumper off and stopped volt 6.11 rising up to 6.17
If these # are what you asked for on testing From what you have told me, the charge rate should be up in high 6 to 7 volts when charging.
So you would say Generator is no good? I did change the VR no change at all react the same as the last one I had on it.

t does not look like gen is doing anything as far as output..
I know that it appears established by now that you have a B ckt gen, but one more trial won't cost you much. Change the Field to Arm jumper to be Field to Ground and repeat those same tests.

gen Arm to ground with meter 0 volts battery 6.27 not jumped F grounded and arm to - battery idle 6.19 volt jumper connected idle 5.92
1 min 5.94 2 min 5.96 (3 min 5.99 this is full throttle) I hand held speed up so that could be why it went up. jumper off engine off 6.17 to 6.19

"gen Arm to ground "
WHAT!? Where did that come from? Hope, just mis-spoke.

That was arm to ground with meter for B test o voltage From picture you drew. before Gen test started!

Clearly a 'failure to communicate'. What I wanted you to do was to jumper Field to Ground, connect ARM to non-grounded battery terminal, start engine & measure battery voltages as we did earlier earlier (immediately and after 1 or 2 minutes). If you go to modern view, you will see my email is open. Feel free to use YT Safe-Mail to message me & I will send you my phone number & communications may be clearer.

Jmor, I understand and did you test correctly as you stated (before I connected the jumpers I did the B test for 0 voltage from the other day).

OK, what I believe this means is that the generator will not charge whether connected as B ckt (which I felt pretty sure we verified earlier) or even connected as A ckt. This latter was just to be certain that we somehow failed to verify as B ckt earlier. I do believe that all was done correctly. This was just extra assurance. I say generator is dead. We can go further and try to determine if it is a field coil problem, brushes, armature, but you probably wouldn't be able to do much with that determination anyway. Yes, I know that it motors, but they will do that on residual magnetism alone. Motoring is a valid test but not an absolute proof that one will charge.

Thank you very much for your help and patience's with me, I never was good at electrical But I can do what I am told. I will go back to the supply and see what they will do for me. Again Thanks you.
