So in March i picked up a Ford 9600 at an auction for real cheap ($2500cdn). So far i have replaced the fan bearing,fan belts, repaired the Sims dual filter assembly(bleed screw threads on left filter were stripped),pulley on alternater was junk, replaced it, and now have changed all fluids. This tractor had no batteries so it was not running at the sale.Also the tractor has a a murphy guage set up on it that has been disconnected so the wiring is a bit of a mess. So today when i attached the battery and turned the key, plus push the start button on the murphy guage, nothing happened. No power going to the key.I looked behind the dash and seen seen some wires that were cut, one other wire
had insulation melted off! Now contiplating my next move. Should i try and get a new wire harness, or a used one or just try and splice new wire onto faulty pcs. Any replies appreciated! Starting to get discouraged!
