2000 3 pt hitch round 2

Hitch arms would not go down. In the process of removing the auxiliary single spool hydraulic remote valve, poof and a hydraulic bath, the hitch arms came down. What is the likely culprit? Happy to go after it but would like to know what to look for,
Thanks,
curt

I have the manuals. All the trouble shooting has to do with lift arms not going up, nothing about why they won't come down. Point me to the valve or the linkage, by part number in the IT manual or part number in the parts book. Just hate to dislodge the entire top cover without knowing exactly where i'm going. Thanks,
C

Normally when the lift won't lower their's a valve or linkage stuck or out of place.
Ether way you'll have to pull the lift top.

I was replacing the remote valve on a tractor and forgot to lower the lift, didn't care much for hydraulic oil bath I got.

Dump path is very simple to lift path, as it really involves only the one section of the spool of the main control valve. That is the valve connected to the linkage.

Thanks,
