7710 Remote Valve question

Hi Guys,

I took apart the remote valve on my 7710 to replace seals & a broken spring detent part.

On re-assembly of the flow control parts, I am not sure what way the flow control restrictor goes in. You can install it in 1 of 2 ways. The flow control knob turns this part to restrict fluid flow, depending on the knob position.

Anybody know what the correct orientation would be?

Thanks!

Hope this helps.

The image I posted came from the TWx5 series manual (the remote valves used in the TW tractors are identical). I could not find the info you
were looking for in the 10 series (7710) manual, which was the first place I looked. I knew I had seen what you were looking for before
though, and kept digging until I found it.

Bern,

Another question for you....

Regarding that parts diagram, item 17, I believe it is a regulating valve for the detent return. How do you go about removing the valve from the bore? I see an o-ring on the valve that I was going to try and replace.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

(quoted from post at 04:17:45 04/18/18) If it's stuck in the bore, maybe soak it overnight with some PB Blaster and then grab the stem with a needle nose pliers.

OK, sounds good.

Thanks Bern!

Bern,

That worked great. I just had to get a pair of pliers small enough to do the job.

Thanks again.
