Serial # location..I can't see it anywhere...!!

Where is it usually found.?

Thanks, I need to know the year it was made...!!

On the bellhousing, just above and to the rear of the starter. Later ones also had a foil tag on the underside of teh hood, above the battery... but those tags aren't always still in place.

Where fordfarmer told you to look there will be a machined flat area, sometimes all three lines of information are in the machined area, sometimes one of the lines is outside the machined area. The three lines of information are the model number (letters and numbers mixed), the serial number (single letter then the rest numbers), and the unit number (number-letter-number-letter). The unit number is date of final assembly, the letter in the serial number is the plant code. B = Basildon UK, C = Romeo Michigan, A = Antwerp Belgium.
