851 radius arms placement

Greetings to all, on the 1958 851 powermaster, there are 2 positions available for the front axle radius arms. I have looked throughout the owners manual and I cannot find where it mentions any advantage to
placing the radius arms closer to centerline or outboard closer to the wheel. Is there any advantage /disadvantage to the position of the radius arms?

If you have your front wheels set way out use the outermost setting on your radius rods.
For most settings you would use the inner setting.
