276 blowing tranny gasket

bout a month ago the gasket on the variable speed section of my 276 bidirectional. pulled the front part of the motor/pump in the field,cleaned it up and put in a new gasket. used it twice for about 20 min each time and it blew again. seems like it's got alot of pressure behind it. i've never seen a gasket that would hold pressure so guessing something else is wrong making it blow the gasket. anyone run into this??

Dunno what you've got going on, as I recall pump and motor were separate.

But, no matter, I don't think the case of either should be pressurized, if it actually is, mite be something has happened to the "case drain" line (plugged or crushed) or the piston/cylinder block or commutator plate MAY be damaged, causing more of an internal leak than the case drain can handle.
