Ford 901 Diesel Thermostat

Can someone provide me a direct part number for the thermostat and gasket for my 59 Ford 901 Diesel? Does the gas model thermostat fit the diesel as well? Also does anyone know if one of my local auto parts store will have a cross-reference part that will work?

Search for CNH parts online. It'll give you most all of the info you need to find parts for your tractor.

That stat also should not be hard to find at an auto parts store.

I did get the original part number C4NN8575A from that site. The only issue is I can't find a cross reference that fits, and that part number is $52. Kind of crazy for just a thermostat.

Gas and Diesel are the same.

Napa part #169 180 degree.
Napa part #269 195 degree.
Napa part #70 160 degree.

I used the Napa part #169 in my 821 diesel, seems to work well. They had the gasket in stock for the T-stat housing.

Thats if you wanted to use NAPA, it is closer for me than New Holland and a lot less expensive.
