guys I have been overhauling my 1955 600 ford I noticed a very slight drip of oil coming from the bolt that holds on the right foot rest, rear bottom. I am checking the hydro oil but the oil is so clean I am having trouble seeing the mark. Did I just overfill the hydro oil or is it something else wrong? Thanks in advance for the help.

I'm working on a 5000 right now. When I went to take off one of the steps, oil poured out of the transmission because someone in the past had
stuck too long of a bolt in the hole and blew out the inside of the case. If the oil is truly coming out past the bolt threads, I'd suspect
this problem. Nothing that a little #2 permatex wouldn't fix.

Dirt what been said. Dope a bolt with a high film strength, thick thread dope. If that doesn't stop it, drain the sump, clean with carb cleaner, install a stud with a filler epoxy, allow to cure . Should not leak past that.
