I think ya just crack that plug open while it's running and bleed the air that way. But don't take it all the way out

That works. Its quick and easy that way too.

You can also put a hose barb in place of the plug and attach a clear
hose to it. Remove the hydraulic fill cap and run that hose back
to the hole where the fill cap goes so the oil is returned to the sump,
then start the tractor and watch for all the air bubbles to clear the hose.

You might want to put a teaspoon full of oil in the bleed hole to create some suction action if the pump has run and still didn't prime

You can also blow a little air pressure into the hydraulic dipstick hole to push some oil up to the pump. I know this works if the lines have been drained, but if the pump is totally empty I don't know if this will do it without bleeding also.

If you go this route you will want to install a ball valve before the barbed fitting, otherwise the 3 point will never work. Open the valve to bleed, and watch until no more air bubbles are flowing in the hose, then shut the valve. Make sure that it is a valve designed for at least 3000 psi hydraulics, not a household plumbing valve.
