Hey Guys : I have a 535 tractor after running for 30 min. starts slowing down then won't move in either forword or reverse. I let it sit for 20-30 min. it will run for 20 min. after it cools down so on. I changed the fluid, level is great, I can see fluid moving in fluid level hole, took plug from pressure valve on right side gear box and blew a lot of oil out. this valve looked gutted and I have not had any problems for the last year. Mark (serv. mjr.) at yesterdays tractor said talk to you guys, might be torque convertor? any ideas ? Thanks John

Could be the torque converter, or the pump, or the control valve, or a combination of the above. When any of them start to wear to where they start leaking they will exhibit problems first when the fluid is hot and thinned out.

What pressure valve are you referring to? I don't see any pressure valve on the right side of the transmission case in the parts drawings. I see 3 bolts/plugs on the right side. One is the level check, one is the shift detent and the third is the pivot pin for the shift plate. If you're referring to the bolt with the spring behind it, that's the detent for the shifter.

Thanks for your reply. The pressure valve is on the right side on rear and trans housing. just a relief or pressure valve it has nothing to do with my problem. I have a 4 inch thick page manual, that doesn't seem much good. thank you. John
