Ford 4600 Leak

I replaced hydraulic oil and filters along with both brake rod rubber boots( from New Holland dealer) about 6 months ago and now the right side is leaking again. Is this something that always leaks ? Any suggestions on how to fix this to last.

Did you push inner part of boot back till snapped in groove? Is easy to not get pushed all way back cause done it myself.

I think I got everything back in place but I will check. It has been leak free and have put about 50 hrs on it before it started seeping again. I guess will have to live with but it seems to me to be a poor design. I just thought maybe yall had same experience .I guess while shredding brush it could have torn or poked a hole in it. I thank you for your response and will look at it closer.

You might have damaged the boot when you slid it over the brake rod. If you replace the boot again, tape the threads on the rod first.

I have the same issue one boot on mine is already leaking after only about a year and very minimal use. Any way to make sure the center portion is seated properly on the rod while installed? Mine is definitely leaking and running down the rod. Very slow. Not hard to fix just irritating. I will be sure and tape the threads when I replace.
