I got an operators manual for my naa ford. it lists 3 different amounts of oil for the tractor tranny and back. I have a dip stick for the hydraulic oil and I thought as long as you had the proper oil level in it you also had the proper oil level in the tranny and rear end as I thought they all mixed. am I missing some thing.

You're thinking of the N series that had a common 5 gallon sump.
The NAA and later tractors had separate sumps for transmission,
hydraulics and rear end. The book should steer you right.
I still use UTF meeting the M2C134D spec in all three.

Yep! What Royse said. Your transmission and rear axle housings will have level plugs located on the side somewhere. I'm probably in the minority, but I'd use 80W-90 in the transmission and rear axle and the UTF in the hydraulics.
