Simms pump removal/reinstall

All, I'm going to have to pull the Simms pump off my 1970 3000. It's leaking fuel out the side of the pump on the backside as near as I can tell. I've never done a Simms before. The CAV pumps are a walk in the park. Only one way they will go back on. The Simms from what I've seen in photos thus far has 3 bolt holes and 3 other holes that I'm assuming the dowel pin on the gear can go in. How do I know which one to put it back together on after the pump shop finishes it up? Sorry to sound like a newbie here but asking before hand to be sure I don't hose anything. Shop manual that I have doesn't give much love to the Simms pump. I appreciate it in advance!

Simms has a scribe line on the gear hub face that aligns with a scribe line on the tab, on the front pump cover. The tab is about the 2 O'clock position looking from the front. Gear has three bolts, and three slots. Wipe the oil away in each gear slot to find the scribe line on the hub face, then crank the engine until the two scribe lines are aligned. Remove/replace pump and check flywheel timing per the shop manual. If I recall timing is 23 degrees BTDC, but check to make sure.

I'm no authority on Simms Injection pumps but I did have one on my 1966 Ford 3500 industrial tractor. I did remove it to mainly clean it and check the timing. It was a pain as I recall to get to the timing gears to check alignment. It's been a while since I did it but I do remember removing the lower radiator hose and fluid to take off the plate where you get a look at the gears for timing. I believe timing was set at 19 degrees BTDC. I do have a few pics of the process

Thx for the fast replies. Pictures are
worth a thousand words for sure. Where is
that hole with the timing marks located
from the last pic? Looks to be pretty
straight forward now that I see this.
