Has anyone found anything that would keep the rainwater out of the cleaner bowl. Maybe a big oring. Everytime I park one outside it gets water in it. Even a gas model I have gets water in it.

If you live in a humid environment, what you're seeing as rain is probably condensation. Just service air cleaner more frequently. I use ATF - Perhaps its my imagination but it seems to keep the filter media cleaner than regular oil.

I dont have any problem with the ones in the barn, just the ones left in the rain. I fill the bowl to the mark when i service it but after being in the rain, oil starts running on the outside of the bowl as evidenced by the dust sticking to it. I think I might make some type of cover for it.

It would be difficult for rainwater to get in there, and it simply is moisture in the air the diesel is sucking in. The decal on the air cleaner says to
change oil daily which is probably an overkill unless working in extremely dusty conditions. Remember diesels suck way more air than a gas
burner.
