8670 transmission calibration problem

The tractor will not go into the calibration mode. It flashes a "D" where it should be flashing "cal". The tractor is at operating temp. I have the
parking brake on. I have the key off, hold the shifter to the left. Then I start the tractor while holding the shifter to the left in neutral. I hold it for
about 5 seconds then it displays "d" next to the gear symbol. As soon as I let go of the shifter the "d" goes away and it just shows which gear
the tractor is in. What does the "D" mean? I don't see anything about the D in the service manual. I just had the speed block taken off and the
latest software put on the modules by Ag Express. That is the reason for the recalibration. It seems to be shifting harder than it should between
9-10. Thanks for the advise.

Not were my books are tonight. Think D or d is for downshift. If you don't get it figured out maybe I'll be at the books tomorrow and can bone up a little on it.

Thanks. I will try holding the shifter on the upshift side of neutral. Maybe it is trying to tell me it is not 100% neutral. I will try it again tomorrow
after I mix feed an it's warmed up. Thanks for looking into my problem.

OK! A little smarter but not much. The transmission Upshift-downshift function may be programmed by turning the switch on while holding the shifter in the reverse downshift position.

The transmission clutches are calibrated through Mode 10 in the TPM.

It only allows me to adjust the upshift and downshift. It does not allow me to calibrate in mode 10. You can see the calibration numbers but it will
not let me change them in mode 10 (page 55-63) I guess my question is why is it showing the "d" when it should be showing "cal"?

Oops! My bad! You are correct that clutch calibration numbers may only be viewed in Mode 10. Some other minor things can be changed there but not clutch calibration.

So back to what you were trying. Are you releasing the shifter within 3 to 5 seconds after the tractor starts? You should see a flashing CC according to what I'm reading.
