Ford 5000 Power Steering Cylinder Leaks

I have a 1965 Ford 5000 and the power steering cylinder is leaking, at the drag link connection and at the back (towards the driver). I am looking for the OEM
part numbers for these seals, or a vendor who sells them. The accompanying photos show the steering system, the connection with the drag link, and bottom views of the drag link connection and the end of the cylinder. It is leaking in these two spots. Any help?

I didn't know they used that sidearm style powersteering on a 5000.
I thought the early style had the ps cylinder in the bolster under the radiator.
Late style had the integral ps with the hydraulics in the steering box.
But then I don't know my 5000s that well.
The pictures you show looks like the early 4000 style cylinder/actuator.
I rebuilt that style on a 4000 once.
It was not hard - just a few seals and orings.
Was able to get everything at my CNH dealer.
Nothing was real expensive except the rod seal at the end of the cylinder was a bit pricy.

The parts site shows the repair kit for that cylinder to be part number CFPN3301C. It looks like it includes seals and o-rings for both the cylinder itself and the control valve that is integrated into the housing of the cylinder end.

It Looks to be still available for around $100.00 from any New Holland dealer. After market kits are available on the internet for around half that. I've never done one myself, so I don't know about the quality of the after market kits.

That kit number is for the in the bolster cylinder. By the picture showing the axle brace, is the tractor a 5000 Super Major? They used a side mount cylinder, although the picture in the parts book of the cylinder doesn't look like yours. If it is an aftermarket add on power steering, them take it to a local hydraulic supplier and have them match up the existing seals.

AFAIK, you're right - early ones were in the bolster, under the radiator, and later ones were integral. It looks like an aftermarket one, to me.

Thanks Bern.
I was pretty sure it was from a 4000 but didn't know if it was offered as a retrofit for 5000s that came w/o ps.
Mine worked good and I see no reason one couldn't be adapted to a 5000.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Looks like I have a Ford 4000 PS unit. Now the search for the parts.

I suspect it was only a dealer retrofit and not a factory one. There are quite of a few of those old 5000s running around still in our area with those 4000 cylinders. It sure threw me for a loop when I first saw it, because it didn't show in the parts book. Then I looked in the service manual, cruised past the 4000 PS steering system, and put 2 and 2 together.
