One arm loader compatability

Would anyone know if a one arm loader that was on a 740, then a 960, fit onto my 961 with the same mounting brackets? Another member on here has one for sale and we're just trying to be certain it will work on my tractor with a NF before I make the trip. Thanks!

It should. Always best to get the right brackets for the right loader. here are the bracket you with need depending on weather you loader is a short box or a long box. To tell the
difference you would look at the top of the box that connects to the hip bracket. from the loader frame tube to end it will measure either 3 1/2", short box or 5 1/2" long box.
If it is a short box than you will need an offset hip bracket as in the photo. You will also notice the front bracket.I have seen a number of these front brackets have cracks in them around
the top holes area. They can be welded but you should inspect them and nego that in your price.

If your loader has the long box you will need the flat style hip bracket in this photo. Just one of these brackets of either style. Again inspect for cracks

Next you will need these brackets with bushing that connect under the tractor at the transmission.

An option, but always nice to have is a foot jack stand.

To operate you will need a Hydraulic valve or deverter valve as shown in photo

Some kind of weight must be considered to counter balance the loader or when lifting something too heavy with surely lift the right side off the ground as shown here with my 9n.

If you have any other questions Or want to send me the photo of the loader and bracket you can email me or post here.

Nice you found one.
That guy called me yesterday. Still has
those two loaders. One is an all
hydraulic one. But if you can get one
with the right brackets that's the way
to go. An original front bracket for a
RC would be pretty hard to find.

Are these loaders hard to come by? I have one with a trip bucket my grandather bought new with his 4000 4 cylinder. I haven?t put it up for sale because I figured no one was looking for them. We mounted it on our 601 for a short period of time with the same brackets so you would think it would work for all models in between that are non row crop.

Will mount on hundred series up thru the early thousand series, utility models, with the same brackets. Usually go anywhere from $200/350.
Where are you located? Does loader have material bucket or manure bucket?

You must be not too far from me. I live in the Cities but have property in Aitkin.
I might be interested in your loader. But...
It would have to be the later style with the short 3 1/2" box. The older ones had a 5 1/2 box. Note the tape measure in the photo.
I'm thinking about putting one of these loaders on my 4200.

Either place of yours isn?t too far from me. I?m up in Hinckley ....but unfortunately I just took a measurement and it?s the 5 1/2 box. I figured the 4 cylinders used the 5 1/2 box and newer used smaller. I have seen some pictures of 4000 row crops with the one arm loader and it looks really nice. They?re actually pretty tough loaders too. My grandfather used it on his turkey farm and then dairy back in the day until he bought the 3 cyl 4000 loader tractor. We should keep in contact though as I always have random ford tractor stuff and implements that I?m looking to get rid of. I seem to always take on more projects than I have time for, stuff piles up.
