Ford 650 - Hydraulic fix continued - Control adjustment

I continue to work the old ford trying to fix the hydraulics. So far with the help of this forum i have removed the lid, replaced all the O rings, Piston, cam follower pin(that sucker was really worn).

I wanted to see if anyone could tell me what that alternate method is for adjusting the position control, as I don't have the NCA502 gauge or the NCA503 gauge? I have read there is an alternative method in the FO20 manual, but I do not have the FO-20 manual only the Ford shop manual, and am at my wit's end with this.

I would hate to put this lid back on and the adjustments be out of wack with the tear down I did.

If not may take to new holland dealer in the morning to pay them to adjust it so I can get this tractor back running.

I do not have the FO-20 manual

The I&T FO-20 is around $30 at Tractor Supply. Likely much less than what CNH would charge for a lift adjustment. It would surprise me if they have the original Nuday gauge to adjust the lift.

The adjustments in the FO-20 are simple and easy to follow but they roughly 1-1/2 pages long - Too much to type here.

Consider the purchase price an investment in your education. You will probably use it more than just this once.

I second Zane Sherman. The book
will tell you how but still need
some way to get correct
adjustment. Drill bit of right
size had been mentioned here. I
guess you could machine a metal
bar to right size. Keep us
updated.
