Hey all !

Looking to replace all my panel gauges on my ford 960.

Are the gauges advertised in parts on YT worth the money/quality?

Or are they pretty much the same regardless of who you buy them from nowadays.

Dan

I have bought more gauges then I can remember, couple hundred through the years. I have three 8x8x8 box's full of them now plus another box worth sitting out.
I have name brands, and cheap knock off ones, and all types. I have never had a problem with any, except for the older bar graft gauges, and lately, a new fuel gauge form a full set off ebay on my neighbors tractor, which they sent him a new right away.

I put a set from here on my NAA over a year ago and no problems other than I had to ream out one of the holes in the dash a little. If I remember correctly it was for the tach. A year was a long time ago for my brain.

Not sure where they are made but I would look at *Dennis*Carpenter* as they seem to take pride in providing the best quality possible.

I ordered gauges for a 601 from DC. I had nothing but trouble. Took three fuel gauges before they sent me one that worked.two temp gauges. His gauges were not made in the USA. They were stamped either made in China or Taiwan.

I HAVE REPLACED ALL MINE ON MY 960. FROM WHAT I HAVE BEEN TOLD ON THIS FORUM THERE ISNT ANY MADE IN THE US ANYMORE. ALL FROM OVERSEAS. THEY DO SELL THEM ON HERE AND THESE PEOPLE ARE GOOD TO DEAL WITH. EBAY ALSO HAS THEM. DONT KNOW HOW PRICE COMPARES. IF YOU DO REPLACE YOUR TEMP GUAGE BE REAL CAREFUL WHEN YOU PULL THE LTTTLE TUBE OUT OF THE BLOCK. THERE IS SUPPOSE TO BE A LITTLE BUSHING IN THERE TO HELP SEAL IT OFF. IT MAY NOT COME OUT WHICH IS FINE BUT APPARENTLY MINE DID AND I HAD TO INSTALL AN O-RING TO GET IT SEATED OFF. GOOD LUCK.

I haven't had any trouble with the gauges I've bought here.

You can probably buy the same or similar elsewhere, but the

"elsewheres" don't provide us this wonderful, FREE forum. ;)
