Foot throttle

Would any one have some pictures of a foot throttle & linkage, that will work on a '63 4000 diesel. I am wanting one, and I need to see some good pictures of one, so that I can make one.

Unless someone has one, or parts of one they would part with.

Thanks, Pat

I made some up for the hundred and early thousand series. Used to have detail drawing. Lost most of them in computer crash. Here's a couple. I try to get you photos of the tractor tomorrow. I
posted it here years ago with all the details, maybe do a search in the ford section.

Here are some photo of the one on my '63 4000. I believe Red Rock Mfg has them should you want to buy one.

Yea, and they work especially well on my SOS models no letting go of the hand throttle to shift on the fly. I might still have all the measurement written down some where. I'll have to look
thru some paper work let you know.

I think a foot throttle is the best add-on ever for snowplowing. Set the hand throttle for about 1000 - 1200 rpm which makes for jerk-free shifts with a SOS, then just give her the gas when you're moving snow. Works good for dragging trees and stuff out of the woods too.

Yep they are very handy. I had one one on my 3500 Ind. a while back but a guguy came along that wanted it worse than I did so I sold it for good money. I wish I still had it

I thank you. I did search for your old posting about it, earlier today. I did not find it, but I did find others, but it seems that a lot of people use a picture server that does not want to share anymore! I also use to use them years & years ago.

I see how you made , and mounted your pedal. What I now need is the rods, and how they hookup for a diesel. Which runs down the right hand side of the engine.

So if anyone has some pictures of how the rods run for a diesel, please post them.

IanC,
Thanks for the web site. But I'm, not going to pay $185.00 for one. Even if they come over, and paint & mount it on for me.

I can make it myself. I just need to see how they run the rods, to see how they over ride the hand throttle.

Thanks all, and keep the pictures coming.

I'm like Ian, I'd rather make it myself

Ok, Now to throw a monkey wrench into the works here's another design. This is on my '55 flat footboard 860. Using almost the same pedal as the other one, for your footboard this one might be
a little easier to make but a little harder to install under the battery box.
