Any idea what ford FEL this is? Think it would fit a 641?

The pictures look like the Model 730 (T9-426) loader on my 3400 industrial.

I recently purchased another one (T9-529) for parts. The reason the guy was selling it; was he had bought it to put on a 640 and it would not fit.

It looks just like the one I put on my '64 4030. I believe it will fit, you might have to have the right front mount for the 641. The 601 series is basically the same tractor as a '64 4000 but has a smaller cube motor and the rearend is not as heavy duty. Im pretty sure they are the same length and width.

I can't make out the last digit, but 19-45X component number come up as 6X tractor series (1965 up) loaders.

Ian, This is interesting; the name plate on the loader on my 3400 is clearly stamped T9-xxx and the parts loader is stamped 19-xxx, but hard to read. I assumed the correct marking was "T" since the tag was in good shape and clearly stamped.

So, you're saying the correct number is "1"....thanks

(reply to post at 15:26:35 02/05/18) Call your local Ford tractor dealer, ask for service and then ask for someone who knows FEL. If they have been there for a good amount of time they should know. It looks like that one has a good valve system.

Most Ford loader frames made after 1955 had a tag where the "Model" started with I9- but for parts lookup purposes you change the "I" (capital i) to a 1 (numeral one) when entering it into the model lookup search box on the parts site. They were stamped by hand and the stamp wasn't held perfectly square when they hit it, so a number of them do look like Capital "T" instead of capital "I", but I am pretty sure that they really are an "I".

so it wouldn't fit a 641 then right?

It looks like I9-453 in your picture, and that shows up on the model search on the parts site as "(19-453) - FRAME ASSEMBLY, W/SELF-LEVELING (3400), 730 SERIES (1/58-12/72)", so it looks like Indiana Ken is correct, it is a 730 loader with a frame specifically designed to mount to a 3400. So no, it would not bolt right up to a 641.

It is possible with time and money and the correct fabrication tools that you could make mounting brackets that would work with a 641.
