I wish! Row Crop fenders are scarce as hen's teeth it seems.(quoted from post at 18:05:29 02/03/18) Do you but that stuff at scrap prices by the pound??
Take another look at your 8N skins, or if its easier, pictures online.(quoted from post at 18:22:21 02/03/18) OIC...aww Heck, I gotta a brand new set of 8N skins upstairs in the barn that look the same shape as those. What's the difference?

They are flat, not bulged at the bottom like these are.
They do not have that notch to fit around the axle either.
They just taper to kind of a flat bottom point right above the axle.
The 8N brackets also don't have the curve with the carriage bolt
holes set at an angle like these do.
To be fair, 8N fenders or x00/x01/x000 fenders will bolt right on.
But they are not the same. I'm trying to be as original as possible.
This may be a better view of the curve and bulge.(quoted from post at 18:41:50 02/03/18)(quoted from post at 15:33:03 02/03/18)Take another look at your 8N skins, or if its easier, pictures online.(quoted from post at 18:22:21 02/03/18) OIC...aww Heck, I gotta a brand new set of 8N skins upstairs in the barn that look the same shape as those. I see, maybe I can sell them to GBinMT

The 900 series is the row crop version of the 800 series.
It always seemed odd to me that Ford used different fenders
between the two. Especially when they will interchange.
600/700 same story. Might need a spacer for clearance
depending on tire size and spacing but they fit.
Thanks for asking the questions. The aftermarket parts
manufacturers don't seem to realize there was ever a difference.
Gary might need the skins you have. Are they early or late 8n skins?
They were different too.
(quoted from post at 17:10:12 02/03/18) They are a bit rusty Showcrop, but not bad compared to what I have.
Mine are the typically bent up ones that you referenced.
Do you happen to have a link to them on the D-C site?
The only ones I could find are the [b:d63297c062]16312a[/b:d63297c062] at $235 each plus shipping.
They are just the skins, no brackets, and they don't have the notch.
According to the CNH website, the 16312-a is the part number
that superseded the originals when Ford quit supplying them.
I believe you are correct that the 6/800 did not have the notch.
I don't know how I could rectify the notch if the skins don't reach down as far as the originals.(quoted from post at 20:17:36 02/03/18)(quoted from post at 17:10:12 02/03/18) They are a bit rusty Showcrop, but not bad compared to what I have.

Those are the ones that I saw on Dennis Caroenter. I didn't notice the lack of the notch, but that could of course be easily rectified. I have a pair stored away that are pretty badly crumpled. I have been thinking that with repops available now that I should just throw them away. I sold a pair of pretty rough ones maybe ten yers ago for probably $75.00
(quoted from post at 17:55:51 02/03/18) Nice looking fender skins NashRanch!
They are "technically" for the later 8Ns, mid-1950 thru 1952
I also believe the '53 and '54 Jubilee/NAA used the same ones.
Later 9Ns, the 2Ns and early 8Ns, '48 to mid 50 took the same
skins but did not have the Ford script embossed into them.
They will still fit.
Non-script hood? Like 9N/2N or an 8N hood with no script?(quoted from post at 22:16:37 02/03/18)(quoted from post at 17:55:51 02/03/18) Nice looking fender skins NashRanch!

They were actually bought for the 51 8N I had by the previous owner of the 8N. I decided not to use them on my restoration.
So now they are for sale. Think i'll post them on the 9N,2N,8N Forum. Also have a new non script Hood and front 16" 8n rims

I don't remember seeing an 8N hood with no script, so I'm curious.
I don't currently need the fender skins. Hopefully someone local
to you will. Shipping can be a deal killer on big, bendable items.
If you advertise them locally, make sure to include the NAA
tractors once you're confident that they fit those too. Wider net.
Gotcha. 8N side opening, but without the script.(quoted from post at 00:47:52 02/04/18)(quoted from post at 19:39:53 02/03/18)Non-script hood? Like 9N/2N or an 8N hood with no script?(quoted from post at 22:16:37 02/03/18)(quoted from post at 17:55:51 02/03/18) Nice looking fender skins NashRanch!
