Ford Hydraulic System Slideshow.

As always, thanks for doing this.

I found the external spin-on filter something new. I've never seen one before, has anyone else? I don't even see a spot in the casting to mount it - were these dealer installed?

In the 60s we install lots of the filter kits.. Dealer installed . Had to drill four holes with a paper template furnished with the kit, furnished by Ford. I have one on each of my old 960 and 860. Wish we could still get the kit.

Probably I would be the only one noticing the tandem hitched mower and hay conditioner shot in this film. Had one for probably 5 years until trading them for a NH haybine .Don.t think I have seen one until this film since. These films sure are bringing back memories. Thanks a million "9000puller"

That would explain why there are no marks on the casting for the filter mount. Similar to the old 8000-9600 tractors with their add on external filter.

Thanks again Puller!

Wayne, we pulled a tandem hitched sickle bar mower and
conditioner when I was young. They were green and yellow though.
Still have the tractor and mower. Conditioner is long gone.

Another thing I noticed in this slideshow is that I've been putting
this decal in the wrong place. Silly little thing, but there it is.

Wayne, is there any chance of getting the measurements to install the filter kit on a tractor? the reason I ask is that I pulled all the parts for the filter out of a tractor in a salvage yard and messed up and didn't measure the holes so I can put it on one of my tractors. Young and dumb at the time and figured I could figure it out from the inside of the center section!! Thanks either way. Greg NE

Don?t feel alone. I?ve noticed the tandem setup too. Ive stared at it every time I see it it one of my brochures. One day I would like to find one.

Yes there is a chance. LOL. Some warm weather and me making an effort to get over to the building site to do some measuring. My email should be open.

My setup was slightly different. Ford built a attachment to put a adjustable drawbar on the mower(weld on brackets) and with the blocks in place on the conditioner caster wheels making it a totally pull type conditioner. Really was an awful nice setup. Used it a lot.

Why not post them on the forum for everyone to benefit from?
No pressure of course. ;)
