Not mine and I'm not interested in buying it really, but the ad says
it has no 3 pt and no PTO. Looks like it did have them at one time.
There are enough other hack job fixes to make me think someone
took them off. Maybe replaced the hydraulic top cover with ??

No 3PT. No hydraulics, no PTO, no drawbar. And it?s a gasser with a 4 speed and manual steering. I?d have to think about taking it as a gift.

I hear ya RickB, and that ain't all that's wrong with it from the looks.

If it was configured like that from the factory it was most likely originally an airport tug or something similar. But the way the metal under the grill in front of the bolster has been cut it looks like it must have had a front mount pump at some point, most likely for a front end loader, but maybe for a snow plow or something else.

I agree that it's not worth much in the way of doing any real work like it is.

From the paint, it appears that the back was an industrial and the front an ag tractor. It could be a long time before someone with a use for it, that wants it that badly comes along.

"If it was configured like that from the factory"

If it was, would they have installed the lower lift arm pins?
I've never seen one configured that way, so I don't know.

Hi Lanse created it's older brother when he cut the loader and backhoe off some pile of rust he found in the bush cheap on his youtube channel . Maybe
he'd like to buy it so his lawn ornament isn't lonely anymore L.O.L.

Unless you need parts or have the parts to make it a complete farm tractor it's not worth much like it is. A wrecker would maybe pay 800-$1000 for it
round here, if somebody wanted 90 % of it. Plus they were waiting for the parts when it came in, the rest would sit until scrap prices went up again.
Regards Robert

Good buy if you took the "2" off the front of the price. You could part it out and make something. One question I'm going to ask, and probably get flamed for. Been lurking and posting on YT
for years, and have seen this situation many times. Why if a person NEEDS three point hitch, PTO, power steering, or whatever the need happens to be, why would you even consider a machine
that didn't have it? It ALWAYS costs more to add stuff than just keep looking for one that has what you need.

I didn't see where anyone was considering this tractor. I guess I just don't understand your question.

Better question is why the seller thinks he can get as much as he's asking for a farm tractor that can't farm?

I bought a similar Air Force surplus tractor. It just so happened that our tractor
club had a "school tractor" donated. The two of them plus some minor doo-dads
made a complete tractor. Paid $1500 for running parts tractor. Still have
most of it, but all the tin, radiator, steering, front axle, wheels and tires were used.
The club now has a low-hour lawn mower tractor.

I was thinking about your school tractor recently but couldn't remember who it was here that built it.
How is it running for you?
If I remember right it was a 4000 and you had to make brackets for the 2/3000 radius rods.
I'm working on another 4000 school tractor here but decided to put an industrial front end on it.
This one was messed with quite a bit by students but I think I've about got most everything corrected on it now.
Hoping to have it running this spring or summer.
