Hello.

I hope the link posted.

Will this stabilize keep my 3pt from swinging from side to side or is it for something else? Does it attach to where the top link
attaches to the tractor and then to the end of the lift arms. I do have the stabilizer brackets that bolt to the axle but they
need repaired. What do I need? Tired of my 3pt hitch swinging so much! Thank you in advance for your help!

Yes, it is designed to keep the 3 point arms from swinging side-to-side, but it does not attach at the top link rocker. It attaches to a bracket under the axle and to the lower lift arm. Sounds like you would need to either repair or replace the bracket under your axle before you could use the stabilizer bar.

(quoted from post at 17:14:07 01/22/18) Thank you Sean and Big Dan. I will fix my axle stabilizer brackets and get the stabilizer bars.
Make sure your pin on the axle bracket is lined up pretty close to
the pin for your lift arm or the geometry will be off and they may bind.

These are really nice if you can afford them, you can adjust them side to side if you need to offset your 3 point, our 6640 Ford/New Holland has these.

I put a set on my 2000. Made a world of difference raking hay on side slopes. Had only one bracket so had to make a second. Be sure the stabilizer pins are in line with the lower link pins of the 3-point. And don't put them on upside down.

Just for the sake of term identification,
I believe the bars you mentioned that go from the ends of the cross bar hitch up to the top hitch pin are called (stay bars)

My TO35 did not have a underbelly hitch installed at the factory, it came with a cross bar hitch, you used the stay bars to keep the hitch bar from moving side to side and up/down,

After we installed the underbelly hitch, it is much more user friendly,
The under axle stabilizer bars are needed for cultivation or and other job you do not want your implement moving back and forth,

Sort of an aside, but I only ever use one stabilizer bar. Been doing it for 30 years, never had an issue.

Probably because you have never had an aftermarket bar. The single Ford bar on my 3000 has worked well for 10 years through everything I have thrown at it. When I bought my 3600 it didn't have anything so I bought an aftermarket kit with two bars.

Had an issue with trying to put both bars on my Flail mower so went with one. First time out came back and noticed the bar was bent. Next spring I'll have to figure out why the holes in the after market bars are too far out to allow both bars to be installed. Pprobably some welding and redrilling in my future.

Hi ptfarmer.

I have looked at those bars. My question is one end hooks to the stabilizer bracket on the axle and the other end hooks to the
lift arm but where and how? I dont see anywhere to hook to the lift arm. Thany you!

It just slides on the pin on the implement after you'd slid the end of the draft link on. There's room for both on the pin.

You have either have the lift arms with extra holes, or drill the holes near to where leveling rods attach to.
Something like this.

Thank you for the picture ptfarmer. I
didn't feel good about drilling a hole
in the lift arm. Sure seems like that
would make a huge weak point!

It already has a hole for the level arm, it won't hurt. You can also buy new, or used lift arms with multiple holes in them.

Repair parts are available at TSC as are the stabilizer bars. That's what I use on my 1000 series tractors. My lift arms have several OEM holes for different types of mount restraining parts.
