The clutch rod snapped at the 90 deg bend just as I was letting out the clutch, fortunately nothing was in the way but it sure had me thinking about
what could have happened if I was inching up to a truck or something. I was able to weld it back together but I don't trust it so I bought a adjustable
rod end and a new rod that I threaded the ends on. I am going to install it today it should be a lot better than original.

Sounds like a close one. Things can get ugly fast when something like that happens. I was mowing under a grape vine trellis on my Jubilee and a stray piece of wire hung on my throttle and snatched it wide open. Took down the vine, trellis and all before I could get the clutch in and stopped.
