7710 loader plumbing

I've been reading through old posts about
how to plumb in a joystick loader valve on
a 7710 series 2 Ford and I'm having
trouble finding a gresen v20ls which was
mentioned as the correct valve to use.
Can someone point me in the right
direction?? Thanks

It doesn't have to be a Gresen V20LS, that's simply the valve I used 20 plus years ago when I did that same job. Just call your local hydraulic shop and tell them you need a 2-spool, 20 GPM closed center load sensing valve. You'll also want a float section for the loader lift spool.

I am looking at parts (control valve) I need to get for my loader.

A float spool is one with 4 distinct positions, unlike the 3 spool typically has. Most spools have a lower-neutral-raise position. A float spool has float-lower-neutral-raise. The float position allows the loader arms to follow the contour of the ground, and is usually detented. It is not mandatory.

Ok, you mean like a draft on the 3-point.

No, I would not equate that to a 3-point hitch at all. A 3-point cylinder is single acting, whereas your loader cylinders are double acting. Float position simply means that the oil in a double acting cylinder can exit or transfer between both sides of a piston at will.

Imagine taking a cylinder with no hoses attached and pulling the rod in and out with your hand. That would be "float action".

I did that on my 6610.

You need a CCLS valve, tee into the line that goes to the SCV for supply, and tee into the sense line with shuttle T

What I meant was, that it followed the ground, moving up & down, and not rigid. Not as to what the insides do.

Draft on 3 pt is load sensing causing 3 pt hitch to raise/lower due to amount pulling pressure exerted on 3 pt. Nearly all tractor models have a 3 pt that can float.

As Bern stated float position on loader valve allows boom cylinders to move in/out to follow ground contour.

Ok thanks. Where does the shuttle T get plumbed in that I've read about and also the load sensing line?
