Looking at buying a very straight 9000. I know about injector pump lubercation and cavitation--how do I verify these are not issues before I make an offer.
Any other issues I should be aware of?
 
There is no way of knowing whether or not an engine is about ready to cavitate. As for the injection pump, start the engine cold and rev it up. If it does not misfire (caused by retarded timing due to internal wear), that's a good sign.
