Trying To take the pivot pin Out of The front Axel On a 841 Ford Tractor.it has The Big nut On front, but Cant Get It to turn. Havent tried Heat yet. It Is pivoting Now ,just on the Axel, & has a lot Of slop In The axel. I think It should Pivot On the Pivot Pin Instead of Pivot Just on the axel & The Bushing on outside of Pivot Pin. maybe I am Wrong Tho. I have the Plate Off That Fits over The Nut of Pivot Pin. Maybe Someone has a simple Solution As how the Best Way To Go About This. Also How does The outside Part Of The Pivot pin Pipe Come off or does It?Thanks In Advance For any help.

I had one that was a bear to get out, even with heat. If you heat it be careful about galling, maybe run a stream of water thru pin. I had to weld a piece of thick hollow steel tube that was just thick enough to fit in the slot on my pin and it still took about a 5 foot bar to turn it. Then it was back and forth a lot. Someone on here mentioned something about heating and using parrafin, it will go where other stuff wont. If you know someone with a big air wrench that might do it.
