I'm not at all familiar with Ford tractors so looking for some help.
I've been shopping for a small tractor with a loader and noticed a Ford 2000 for sale for $5,995.
Tractor looks very clean, no rust, and has very good tires.
This seems like a good deal.
Anything to be concerned about with this model?
 

We don't know what it is by that model number because Ford built two completely different tractors that were called the 2000. One is 4 cylinders the other is three. They might share the same steering wheel.
 
Around here $6,000.00 would buy a ready to go to work 8 speed diesel 3000 or 3600 with new or like new tires and a loader. Depending on what it really is, he is at least $1000.00 too high.

Also, as the others have said, there were two different Ford 2000 tractors. The earlier one had a 4 cylinder engine and the later one had a 3 cylinder engine. Which one is it?

"Looks very clean with no rust" sounds like a recent paint job, which could have been part of a well done R&R or it could have been done to hide some flaws, so don't make your judgement on looks alone.

Good tires do add to the value as it can be over $1500.00 just to replace the rears.

Around here in southeast PA $5995.00 would get you a 4000 or 4600 with good tires and a loader. The 2000, depending on whether it is the 4 or 3 cylinder model, with good tires and a loader, would only bring around $4500.00 to maybe $5000.00 for the later 3 cylinder with an 8 speed and live PTO and $3500.00 to $4000.00 for the earlier 4 cylinder with the 5 speed and live PTO. Some folks do pay more, but they don't know what they're buying and usually have regrets later and then they try to resell them for close to what they paid and find out that they can't unless they find a new "sucker".

ver heard at auction, " Bill you ought to buy that nice looking tractor". Reply, " I'm not buying another paint job!!" :(
 
Counting the Super Dexta, Ford sold three different tractors as model "2000" They are all good tractors, and I would be in no hurry to pay $6000 for any of them.
