Add hydraulics

I see a block on eBay to tap into the hydraulics for a
loader. Is that the right way to do it on a 1974 3000?

I had a loader on my 640 ran off top cover hydraulics. It worked but was painfully slow. Better to add a front pump.

I have one of those aluminum blocks on my 2600. It works my loader and log splitter just fine. Whatever you hook to it must have a valve so it circulates fluid when you're not operating it. If you disconnect the implement you have to loop the hoses together so your lift will work. I believe the block with a lever on it, more expensive, would eliminate the looping of the hoses.
