Ford 3400 steering shaft replacement help

Well I tried repairing my powersteering
box and used the speedi sleeve, it
worked good for about an hour then
started pissing out again,I'm debating
on having my shaft repaired and machined
or just buy a new aftermarket shift, I
wasn't sure the quality on a aftermarket
one,I've had the steering box apart to
the adapter on the bottom so that wasn't
bad,how do you remove the shaft itself?

Pull sector shafts out is easiest way to get worm out.Look very carefully at lands on spool in control valve if pitted/worn no new shaft will stop leaking seal. The spool also has top and bottom, identified by groove inside spool. I had one that was pitted that no matter what was done it leaked. These units are 50 years old so can be lots of wear.
