I unscrewed the big spring yoke on the back of my hydraulic lift cover but didnt count the turns. I looked at the manual and it says to just screw it on. Any suggestions as to tightness and do any of you think that adjusting it one way or the other will affect the way the draft works. Is it made for adjusting the way the draft works in different situations?

My theory is to turn the yoke in far enough to JUST being able to turn the spring by hand. Works for me!!

I've always done as Wayne says. This is from my manual:

"For average conditions, adjustment of main control spring is
correct when when spring can just be rotated by thumb and
fingers of one hand. Under heavy draft conditions, it may help to
turn the yoke one-half turn tighter than this adjustment; or under
light draft loads, loosen the yoke one-half turn from this adjustment."
