Need throttle spring dimensions early 3000

For some odd reason my post keeps getting rejected. I just need approximate dimensions of the spring so I can get one without paying CNH $40.

Getting the "approximate dimensions" is not going to guarantee that you get the pull strength of the original and so will not guarantee that it will work properly. Yes, $40.00 for a spring is a bit high, but how many springs of the "approximate dimensions" will you need to try before you find one that works properly, that is if you can find one that works properly.

I’m not sure it is particularly critical. This is the spring that pulls the control rod against the governor limit lever (not the one that counterbalances the governor) . The friction of the throttle rod is adjustable, and it’s been running fine without it for who-knows-how-many years. The problem is that the governor creeps down from full throttle since there is no spring to assist the control lever in that direction.

Sean in PA is right. Get the right one. It is all in the spring rate. not diam. or length. You don't need the aggravation.
