Aftermarket 801 Ford PTO shaft

Does anyone have any experience with the quality of these shafts?

Many of the original PTO shafts are still in use today, over 50 years after they were made, so I would say that the quality was pretty darned good. Maybe you had a more specific question in mind, but we don't have the ability to read minds, so if you meant to ask something else, please do.

I've installed several aftermarket shafts in 8N and NAAs.
So far I haven't had any trouble with them, but I should
point out that mine are not used hard anymore.
A little bit of rotary mower work, or sickle bar mower.

Title doesn't tell everything. What's the aftermarket source? Which 801 tractor are we talking about. Might make a difference.

I would imagine they are from the same source. I saw a pic of one installed in an old carrier. The shaft didnt have any rust on it but you could see the wear on it, maybe 1/16".

I bought my last PTO shaft used from a source on EBAY. Just another option.
