Power steering 1954 jubilee

Lots of hard work and trial and error. Alternatively, lots of money.
In [b:c28e47ff6e]this[/b:c28e47ff6e] post I pictured how I did one of my Jubilees.
It wasn't too expensive, about $300 total as I recall.

Welcome to the Ford Board.
The best way is to look for a junk 1955-64
Ford and take it off of that. You Must get
both radius rods, both tie rods, two
steering cylinders, the ps pump, complete
steering column, 6 hydraulic lines, and the
special water neck/thermostat housing with
the hole for the pump adjuster.
The system is then a direct, bolt-on swap.
I have sold a couple of complete ps
systems for those and later tractors.
Going rate is about a Grand.
Not cheap but in my opinion, worth it.
By the way, no such thing as a 54 Jubilee.
The 53 and 54 NAAs were identical tractors
but only the 53 is a Jubilee. 1953 was the
50th year of Ford Motor Company, thus the
Jubilee designation.

I installed a used unit on my 53 Jubilee a few years ago. Best thing I ever did for the old girl. One other thing to make sure to get is the belt and pulley to run the pump. If you decide to change out the original pulley bolts, make absolutely sure they aren't too long or they will wipe out your timing cover. Then you have a much bugger project. Sadly speaking from experience...
