871 diesel air cleaners

I am about to begin restoring an 871 diesel. It has the retro-fit air cleaner that mounts to outside of the hood. I don't like it and would like to find
either an original box air cleaner or I am desperate enough to consider customizing the type of air filter that the gas engine has. Any thoughts or
suggestions?

I'm guessing you must be in Tx from your user name. I live in East Tx. I have a 671 diesel with the box cleaner like you are looking for. If you can't find one anywhere else, I would be willing to trade for your air cleaner. Personally, I have always liked your type of cleaner the best. My email is [email protected]
