Transmission pattern

I think I got a 6/4 manual reversing transmission in my 1965 ford 3000 diesel tractor, When I shift it to low range the first gear is in the middle , second to the left, third to the right, when you shift into reverse, you have two, than when you shift to high range you have the 5-4-6 and two reverses. My book says that the TPC# that the number C1012K ( which is the # on my 3000 is a 6/4 manual reversing. Anyone every had one of these, it shifts good. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

C1012K

you are correct

C10=(310) 3000 All purpose 1965-1975
1 = Diesel
2 = Trans 540 rpm
K = 6x4 manual reversing

I have that trans on my 4500 industrial, it's rare to see one on a ag model.
The extra reverse gives you a good reverse speed the the 8x2 doesn't have, it also gives you a high reverse speed you shouldn't use.

Thanks for the picture , and thanks for telling me about not using the high reverse, don't know why they put it in it . thanks again.[/quote]

Just to clarify, Low range R1 is like low reverse in a 8 spd (slow),
R2 is a good reverse gear, (I use 3rd and R2 a lot). High range R3 is similar the high reverse on a 8 spd and on good ground I'll use 4th and R3, I stuck mine in R4 once, chart says it will do 14 mph backwards in R4, to fast in reverse for me.
