4000 dog leg question

My 4000 row crop the hood side is rusty
especially around the hinges. I have one off
of a utility that is better. Has anyone ever
cut the bottom of the dog leg to fit on a
row crop.

I havent but it looks like that would do the trick. I'm not sure what they look like on the very bottom. Its spot welded on the top seam.

Yep, we have done it. Just measure carefully and you have to drill the holes in the bottom for the aluminum pieces to bolt to.
