Flush hydraulic system of front end loader?

I?m changing the filter and hydraulic fluid in the 735
series FEL mounted on my Ford 420 Industrial
tractor. I?m thinking it should be a good idea to flush
the system, but how and with what?
Thanks

Does it have a drain? Many do not.

If no drain, you can do little but pull a line in the lowest part of the system to drain as much oil as possible, refill with clean oil and repeat. I would add a pint of so of dry gas and operate for awhile before starting. The dry gas will help to remove the condensation water with the oil to be drained.

if it does have a drain, dump in the dry gas and a little diesel into it.. let it circulate to warm it, then drain it.

The parts site shows two different frames for the various 735 series loaders. Both frames show a plate at the under side of the frame under the left upright that has a drain plug, as well as a filter assembly on top of the plate up inside the frame. Simply remove the plug to drain, but if you want to do a good cleaning, drain it once, fill it with the diesel and dry gas as souNdguy recommends and run it a little, running all cylinders from fully retracted to fully extended and back several times, then drain it again, remove the plate and change the filter,, and then reassemble and fill with fresh fluid.
