Ford 3600 Fuel Sending Unit Question

If it is like the Ford 4000 there is a notch to align the position of the float. If it is not correct the bayonet fitting won't go in.

3600 should use a lock ring, not screws. But it is indexed and goes only one way regardless.

Ok was just assuming it was the same as the older 3 cylinder I had, not sure what my 3910 has I thought it was screws but don't recall, I abandoned the sensor and went simple gauge anyhow!

Davidfindley,

Unfortunately your photo has no orientation to indicate where north is on the tractor. Or South towards the driver.

I do see a notch in the side. I will have to look at my 4000 and compare it. I hope they are all the same.

I forgot to ask. What year is your 3600? Is it gas or diesel?
