Another Hydraulic Problem

Guess it's my turn, so here's what's happening on my 640.
All of a sudden I have to pull the 3 point lift lever all the way up to get my shredder to come all the way up.
Previously I only needed to move the lever about 3/4 of the way up to the adjustable stop to get it to come only part way up.
Fluid level is fine and fluid is clear.
Lift cylinder is is holding fairly well with motor off, but it does slowly lower with a heavy implement on it.

Sounds like normal operation to me,
lever all the way up, 3pt all the way
up...lever part way up, 3pt part way up
that's how position control works

But that's how it's working now. Worked like that the other day, now there is no "mid" position, it's either all the way up, or all the way down.
Draft control is in the right position, horizontal, I have never found a need for it.
Just wondering if it's that pesky pin problem, I replaced it several years ago.

(quoted from post at 09:59:59 11/11/17) Ok I misunderstood how you said it. Yes
likely cam follower pin, cheap and easy
fix atleast

New development.
Just finished 2 hours shredding, went to lift up the shredder and there was a lot of resistance on the lever where there was hardly any before. Shredder lifted as it should to the stop I have set.
Now I'm thinking maybe a sheared woodruff key on that shaft or something the shaft mates to. Looking at the diagram of it and trying to figure out what it might be before tearing into it next trip up here in a couple of weeks.

Since the edit feature doesn't work I'm using quote to add to my post.
After looking at the manual closer it looks like the problem might be in the control valve since it looks like the position lever appears to make it move.
For now, I'll just try moving the lever up and down for a while and see what happens.

If it wasn't so far to drive, I'd buy a lotto ticket.
Just kept working lever up and down and it started working as it should again.
All is well in Utopia again.

Until it doesn't work again. Something is rotten in Denmark.

Yep, when something like this happens, I always wait for the other shoe to drop.
If and when it does, maybe it will at least give me something to look at and fix. :D
