I purchased a 1986 Ford 1710 tractor to use around the yard, everything worked fine, it had a loader on it, we removed the loader assembly to work on the tractor, changed all the oils and filters, after doing
so the 3 point would not work, we finely got the air out of that system by cracking the plugs on the 3 point flow control under at the front of the seat, now that works fine. now re-installed the loader
plugged in the hyd. fitting and it would not work at all, tried bleeding the lines and got the bucket to work slow at high RPMs but if you stand in it it will not work at all and life cylinder will not work,
lost can anyone help? any ideas?

I have done that a couple times checked the ball and the point that hits on it male to female seams to be fine, have had others that have gotten dragged on the ground on our highway dump tractors to trailer, but will look one more time

depending on how the loader was installed, did you loop the hoses to prevent dead-heading the pump after removing the loader? or fool with the diverter screw on the manifold block on the lower side of the engine?

Joe,
the valve I am referring to is the valve that the hydraulic quick fittings from the loader plug into, there is a shaft with a snap right that was turned who hows how many time in the cleaning, if that it do you know if the shaft has holes in it that need to be lined up or does it real screw into something inside the valve?

we also adjusted the lever for the 3 point because it sounds like it was laboring when it was all the way up, moved it 1/4

Charlie,

Are you and Joe talking about the valve that the hydraulic hose from the loader hook to, is that shaft something with hole or holes drill in it for flow or does it actuley screw into something inside, it has a
snap ring on the out side and the shaft has a screw driver slot in it

it is drilled for oil direction, if you pull the loader and don't loop the hoses or turn the valve screw back the other way you are dead-heading the pump and it will fail shortly as it has no where for the oil it's pumping to go
