Throttle Hand Control

I am rehabbing a Ford 600.
I have done an extensive amount of work to it and I am in the final stages. I had removed the throttle hand control and now have reinstalled it, but it is not working properly. Since it has been a while I am not sure I reinstalled the parts correctly.
It goes through a bracket near the bottom of the rod and a bolt holds it in place by a groove or indention on the rod.
Below the bracket I have a spring and on the very bottom of it a cotter pin.
Can some provide a diagram or tell me if this sounds right?
I also put a new governor comp spring between bell crank and battery box.
The hand throttle has way too much free play and is not controlling the throttle as before.
Any and all replies appreciated.

Thanks- that was exactly what I was looking for.
So now that I know it is put back together properly, what would cause so much free play and there is no control of rpm with it. If I go to far it starts revving higher and higher and I just have to switch it off.

Well, I can tell you now why it was not working.....I had the throttle and choke rods...hooked up backwards.
Stupid first post, but maybe it will help somebody else. But ya gotta laugh about this one. Maybe I made somebody laugh besides myself.

I'm glad you came back and told people what you found.
No doubt in my mind it [b:212172a045]will[/b:212172a045] help other people in the future.
Post some pictures when you get a chance.
It's always great to see them brought back to life!
