Ford 3000 lever..?

My new manuals are pretty hard to figure out and there were so many options for them, I have not figured out what one lever is for..

It is on the Rt side rear axle housing ( front side of it), about 6" long and has a small hole in the end like it may have had some linkage attached to it..

That would not be a Differential Lock, would it..?

Otherwise I have NO ideas..!!

I'm thinking diff lock too.
Look at the pin for the 3pt lift arm on that side of the tractor.
It should be about 1 1/2" longer than that same pin on the left side. The foot pedal rotates there.
The first 3000 I ever had had the lever on the trumpet. But none of the other linkage was there.
Checking it out I learned it was for the diff lock

I bought all the linkages, pin and pedal from a bone yard and had to pull the trumpet to install the longer lift pin.
I always wondered why Ford would have installed the internal parts of the diff lock and not installed the pin and linkage.
It is worth getting it working.
It is a great feature.
