TW35 Dual Power Slipping

The dual power in my TW35 MFWD has started to slip (I think, also acts like the clutch sipping). I slips in low and high. I haven't checked any pressures yet. I've owned a dual power Ford since the 1970 and they have given very little trouble. Every since I've had this tractor, the low pressure warning light will come on each time you shift from high to low and vice versa.

First thing I'd check if it slips in both low and high is the main clutch adjustment. No free play in the pedal = slipping clutch.

If that checks out, you likely have low pressure going to the dual power. Do some pressure testing to confirm before you go much farther.

I just now read my previous post and see where I forgot to ask the question: will the dual power slip in low and high? I used the tractor today and it acts like the clutch is slipping. Supposed to rain tonight so I'll check pressures, maybe.

Neighbors TW35 did the same thing this summer. Pressures checked out OK. Clutch lining was gone.

Yes, the dual power can slip in both low and high. That's why I suggested a clutch free play check as well as a pressure check. Doing both should narrow down the cause.
