ford 600 parking brake

I want to disassemble the parking brake pawl
to repair teeth.
I am not sure if there is a carter pin or a nail that is
holding the nut on the parking brake rod.

How do I release the nut?

Nut on a parking brake rod???? Are we talking a bout a tractor? Or are we talking about a Ford F-600 truck?

Usually when someone titles a post "ford 600" on this board we think it's a 600 series Ford ag tractor.

On my 661 the prawn is held on by 2 nuts, the swivel piece has a cotter key on it if I remember right. I'm not looking at it that's just from memory. I'll look at it later if you want and post back if you need more help. CJ

Pawl #26 seems stuck to the arm and no longer
moves.

The pawl is attached to the plate that the long
vertical brake rod is also attached.
I assume when the brake rod is pulled up
the plate should rotate the pawl while the clevis is raised up.

Is the pawl removeable from the plate?
