601 How to remove Hydraulics lid having remote block?

I have a donor tractor (601) that I wish to remove the
Hydraulics lid. It has a block on the front with a
joystick ro operate a remote that once drove a
snow blade.
(I will attempt to provide a picture)

The block covers 2 bolts on the front right
portion of the lid. Should
I just start removing everything or only
certain bolts?

Remove the remote valve by removing the 4 bolts that hold it to the lift cover. Then remove the rest of the lift cover retaining bolts.

If 2 bolts are cover then you have to remove the remote before you can pull the lift cover simple as that

It looks like the 4 bolts are now 2 long studs with
nuts and 2 countersunk bolts.

Is there "O" rings that will hace to
be replaced or just a gasket for
the square opening.

Dont take out any of the bolts that hold the lift cylinder to the cover.

Got it.
It looks like a one spool valve that takes the place
of the 4x7 front top plate and has a push up/down
lever between your legs.

I guess I'll have to clean it up and put it back on
after I transplant the lid to my 821 industrial.

Right now the valve is off the lid and all components
are painted in primer. With the cold weather I may
have to wait till tomorrow for it to dry.
